My name is Tyree Reed, and I studied at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. I pursued a Arts and Sciences degree in Integrated Studies and a Hospitality minor in Special Event and Meeting Planning with a concentration of Public Relations and Hospitality. I have 11 years of sales experience ranging from retail, food and beverage, and events. I have previously been awarded Top Seller for eight consecutive years. 

 

In the Hospitality industry I have 10+ years of event and activities planning experience. I have planned dinner banquets, service projects, group trips,team building/bonding activities,  recruitment events, and formal events. With four years of bartending and serving in various slow, and fast paced environments. My experience in sales, events, and activity planning is significant in comparison to my peers. 

 

In life I have taken pride in being involved on campus while attending Ferris State as well as the local communities. I have been in multiple organizations which have helped me gain leadership, communication, and social skills. 

 

I personally believe that anything is possible as long as you set your mind to it, and I use that to help guide my life and drive my goals on a daily basis. I also firmly believe in the Golden Rule “Do unto others, as you should have them do unto you.” People are my passion. 

 

I come from a diverse background which I use to help with my interactions with each person I meet. I am an ambitious person, outgoing and I get along well with others. When given a task I complete it, and have never quit anything I have started. I am a goal oriented person with great work ethic. I believe myself to be a person who can not only impacts people’s lives, but change the industry, and our world as we know it.
